This is the BOSS
GS-1.
This is the first
effect i
have
faild to bet to work as
expected.
I have
tested and cheched every
ting. At first
i did not have the
FET on the BOM so I
tyred every FET I
had,
about 10
different
ones,
combined
with zener diodes
from 4.0 to 9.1V. It
almost works but in a
very narrow
setting and
not
that
long swell I
have
heard form sound
samples.
I
eventually
ordered the correct FET.
It helped a bit but
not at all to my
satisfaction. So now I
have
an effect that
does
works but not
to the full
extent.
That
is
frustrating
since
I don't
know
how I shall
trouble
shoot it cause it
does work. I
have
quadrupole
checked
every
component
value
and
solderjoints. So
this
is
the first build,
from
about 30, I have to toss
in my towel
on.
I would really
like it to
work
because its a cool effect. Its
the
opposite to
a
Compressor. It starts at zero
vol and slowly
raises
the gain
over
time (1/2
a
second to one second or so) . You
can get
quite
strange
backwards sound
trough it. I
found the
project on General
guitar gadgets but
didn’t
like the PCB. It
was too large. I
wanted
it to
fit in to a
Hammond BB so I
redraw the
PCB. |
