GUITARS AMPS & GEAR

It all started with a broken aucustic guitar and an idee to bye a new one. As you can see below the idee sort of multiplied it self and took control over a large space of our bedroom wall. At that time I was prohibited by my family to expand my idee further. It was at this point I introduced stomp boxes as a better and not such a space demanding hobby, at least that was what I thought then……
You can see the results of that thought on the Effect Projects page.

Gibson Les Paul Special 1998 with two P90 instead of the original P100
This is the apple of my ear. I bought it from guy a who lives north of the Arctic Circle. He had used it for blues and slide. This instrument plays like a dream. And its howls like a lone wolf that bears soul tearing marks from the distant land of the midnight sun and the never ending arctic night. He had changed the original Tun-omatic bridge for a junior bridge. The machine heads are also changed to junior look-alikes. It is in descent condition. The frets are quite weared down and bear string marks from hitting the slide hard against the strings. Still it plays like a dream. This one I will never sell

Gibson Les Paul Classic 2004 Honey burst.
This is the apple of my eye. I bought it from a guy who was in desperate need of cash to pay his far eastern trip with his friends. It is in mint condition and it plays like a dream but sound like crap. This is because the ceramic high output pickups. They are simply dynamically stone dead. I plan to change them to a pair of RPS original that is similar to the 57:s but not at the Gibson fee.

On the Stockholm Guitar Fair  I stubled on a guy who marketed Tonerider pickups. I had nevere heard of them but at $100 for a set i thought that it was worth a try. It really payd off. They sound as good as my frends Gibson 335 from 74. The neck is a ALNICO IV Classic and the bridge is a Rocksong ALNICO II. The sound is very open and nice, just what I wanted. The middle position on the pickup select is really nice. I can Really recomend thouse pickups

Former a OLP MM1 now a Telecaster wannebee
This is the guitar that started it all. Originally this was a standard Hummbucker setup with only a volume knob, cloned after the Music man Axis. It is a very good quality Korean axe. I liked it but I wanted a single coil as well. It was then I bought the LP classic and found my self with two HB guitars. What to do? I simply routed space for SC pups and as I went on also routed and mounted a binding. The hardware is Telecaster. I cut off a tele bridge to carry the bridge pickup and left the original fender type tremolo bridge in there. Originally it was orange. I painted the top and head black with nitrocellulose black color and 10 clear coat layers before the finishing polish. I am quite satisfied with the result, Its hard to see on the pictures. The new singel coil pickups are from T-bear. A Swedish boutique pickup maker in the same class as Lundgren although hi is more known. I wired the switch to be a 4 position with the 4:th in series as the Baja Tele. It sound grate. As for playability, the neck is to flat for me. Eventually I might bye me a Tele but I will never sell this one. I have invested to much work and care in it. I just dont know how I will sell this id?e to my family. No more guitars as promised. And I don’t want to lose no one of them. Tricky business.

1996 Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Stratocaster
This one just jumped on to me when I had my guard down. Not very nice done but I have forgive and we are friends now. It is in very good condition considering the age. Plays very nice and sounds good although the bridge pickup sounds a bit to thin for my taste. I might change it to a Lundgren but it all comes down to money and time.

Lap Steel Made in Bengts garage
What do you do if you have a couple of HB pickups to spare and a friend who has a wood workshop in his garage? Most people wouldn't do anything at all but I vent out and bought me a good piece of mahogny and made my self a Lap Steel guitar.

Ibanez Artwood AW15
This is my birthday present from my friends or at least a part of it is. Thanks all. It's a fair acoustic guitar with a really nice sound and plays good. I like

Yes, it sounds as good as they say

Why build a speaker cabinet when you can buy one? Because you live in the center of the city and space is of the essence. And because youre cabinet has to fit under a chair and still contain a 12 inch speaker. Thats why. It is 22 mm (1") all wood with a Celestion Vintage 30 inside. It also accomendates the 9" reverb tank. I had to import the orange tolex from Germany. The total cost is more than a Orange 1X12 but they don’t do the fit under a chair trick.

Line6 POD 2.0
Yes I have one of those as well. I don’t use it that much any longer. I prefer to do it the analog way but sometimes, late in the evenings, my neighbours prefer that I use this and headphones. At least I guess so.

The mick I record with. It is a SM 57 clone and I think it sounds good.

If I could sing I would do it in to this. I cant but I still do It. I dont know why buy I am probably to naive to stop. Or could it have to do with that I think Its a lot of fun?
